Information we collect
When you chat with our AI travel assistant, we collect the messages you send to help generate a response. We may also collect basic technical information automatically — your IP address, browser type, operating system, referrer, and pages visited — through standard server logs and privacy-friendly analytics.
We do not require an account to use the site. If you contact us by email, we'll hold that email and any details you share until your question is resolved.
How we use your information
- To generate replies from our AI travel assistant.
- To improve the quality of the matches we surface and to debug problems with the site.
- To respond when you email us directly.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your AI chat transcripts with travel partners or advertisers.
Cookies & analytics
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep the site working and privacy-friendly analytics to understand which pages people find helpful. We do not run cross-site advertising trackers.
Travel partners
When you tap a "View deal" button to complete a booking, you'll leave utopia.vacations and continue to the partner's website (for example, Booking.com or Expedia). At that point the partner's privacy policy applies to the information you provide there. We may receive a confirmation that a booking originated from our site so that we can be credited the affiliate commission.
Data retention
Chat transcripts are retained for up to 90 days for service-quality purposes, then deleted. Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to resolve your request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. Email hello@utopia.vacations and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, post a notice on the site.
